This role requires a level of dedication to trail building that is above and beyond what a typical "trail builder" shoulders for responsibility. A trail manager is not only responsible for initial design and ongoing maintenance of a specific trail (or section of trail), but must be aware of overall goals of the land management agency. Trail managers need to be able to organize teams of volunteers to tackle larger projects. Other groups call this person the "trail boss". Contact
